And I want to be totally clear here, a flat battery caused by rider incompetence is NOT a breakdown Cheers for the lend of the electricity Blueflame, I'll bring it back next time!

Some photos...

The reason we were there:

More ice cream

He didn't so much eat the ice cream, as spread it over his face then absorb it through his pores.

Blasphemy! You can't eat something hot on an ice cream run! Stone them! (ideal location for a stoning really, since the "beach" is made entirely out of rocks the size of softballs)

Blueflame springs a leak

Good day out, though we failed plan b (check out the campsite for august) mainly because I didn't know where it was, and by the time we found out, we couldn't be bothered. Next week!

Bugger bugger bugger.

Well here we all were before the breakdowns! Machine Mart, Hein Gericke and Maplin, what more could you want?

Shame on you if you looked at your shoes when I said 'does anyone have a toolkit?' What sort of numpty rides around without a toolkit? Mind you, my disc lock fits in the space just perfectly...

Northy, TonyB and Indyphoto swarm over the rear cylinder

Blue Flame works feverishly at the other end

And Scooby gets in the bloody way!

I had a mainly supervisory position! Thanks to all of the above and to Careless for letting me pop the cherry on his toolkit

Went home and fixed my sticking back brake pedal so the day wasn't a total write off but I did miss the ice cream. Oh well, only 10 months till the next one

Glad you made it home Tiger - update us when you know the true cause.

I was having a great run between Gateside and Largs on the way there until the bloody FI light came on in protest. Oh well that's something fo rthem to check on Saturdays service AGAIN.

Here's the line up a bit before we left you.

And another of your pit crew...

Well done all those who turned out. It was a fun day if just a little chilly!
