Don't know if that's true or not. But at the end of the day, all I got was a rectification notice. I was breaking the law. I'm not interested in trying to get away with anything. It cost me nothing to put right. I didn't even need to buy a stamp for the envelope

I don't think winding up the plod for no particular reason is really worth it. I'd like to be able to ride back and fore to work without worrying if they are laying in wait for me.

You should have wound him up telling him that before he could check your bike he would have to report to reception for a health and safety brief as he was on company property.

OK apart from that. I actually already had a conforming number plate at home but forgot. So technically it could have been free

fair play, i would still write a complaint to the comisioner, remember cops are not police officers unless someone complained about them daily
