There were supposed to be stars from the past competing. Was that the case?

I believe there is to be a new track built which will be ready for 2010 but the details seem to be difficult to find. Did you get information regarding this at the track?

Think it gives them about 3 hours of racing. In a field. In November. That'd be plenty, I reckon!

My old man used to compete grass track racing. The competitions used to go on all day. The only people that ever got cold were the spectators.

For anyone that has never seen grass track racing. Go see it. It's mental.

1000cc side car outfits going sideways on wet grass/mud.

I haven't been to the burnup in years but I'm making the effort this time. And I'm taking the doris with me, to get her back for last year when she took me to a Take That tribute show masquerading as a fireworks display. The cow.

There were a load of classic races (whether they were Stars wouldn't know) 81 year old bloke won all the classic races he was in that I saw - chatting to another chap who said he has to keep his bike and stuff at a friend's house so his wife doesn't find out he's still riding it. Class

There were a load of stars from the past doing interviews but all dutch to me. (& french/ swedish/ czech)

Place was mobbed - had to leave at a reasonable hour to get a sprog home before parental sense of humour failure.

RE new track it's a bit promises promises - they've said they will build one at a site not far away.

200 mile round trip. Maybe I won't go after all. Was thinking of taking the lad, but a long way to go for only three hours of racing.
