Its going to be a long night lol. I will see how i feel but i'm fast running out of energy after finishing work this morning at 8 and i just want to get to the pub and chill. I might leave the polishing to the spring an re pack and rivet at the same time me thinks.

Remove the can strap and loosen the exhaust clamp on the front of the can where the link pipe attaches to it and pull it backwards.

Do it mate its a easy job to do just take your time an mark it well. The only bit that was a bit of a faf was getting the end back onto the sleeve as it was really tight. Rivet guns are as cheap as chips use stainless or alloy rivets. Its raining now so wont be testing it tonight sob sob but will report my findings tomorrow. If you need any help PM me!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...%3D4%26ps%3D41

few questions if i may....

1, the "waste" part, the bit being discarded, is the clamp end yea?

2, are all rivets same size or specific size i need? (im such an office boy)

3, i know how to clean up and polish down pipes and get them all lovely...

but how do i do it with the can...im guessing i cant use wet and dry with the autosol? or can I?

4, any suggestions on length?

5, as its a slip on....am i right in thinking i wont need to adjust fuelling/mess with jets etc?

and lastly...when u say "drill" the old rivets out..what does this mean...is it like unscrew then using a drill+bit....or?

sorry to ask what probably seems like real basic questions, im always the same, with things like this I tend not to trust my instinks and do it blind..need as much info as poss!!

Would this make much difference to noise if it was done on the stock end can? or would i t be best to get a cheap aftermarket one and do it to that??

Cheers.

Colin.
