Default K7/K8 PCIII 02 Eliminator - don't waste your time!

I bought this to allow the fitment of an Akropovic full system, trouble is, the Eliminator don't work.....The FI light comes on!!!!!

So now getting my Akro modded to allow for the Lambda probe!!!

Thought Id share this info, so no-one else wastes their hard earned!!!!

i've got wierd deja vu but i can't find the other thread?

PC only alters the signal from the O2 sensor, it can't hide the fact that it's missing, that's why the FI light comes on

pretty common problem with aftermarket systems...

Yes, but, as I said in that one, I know how the PC works, but the idea of an 02 eliminator fitted in conjunction with a PC, is that it simulates the signal going to the bikes ECU, tricking it into seeing a resistance or voltage (dependant on lambda probe type), maintaining a constant fuel mixture that the PC can interupt and alter, instead of a fluctuating Rich/Lean mixture.

I'm merely warning people to take notice that the actual 02 eliminator does not work on the late SV's that were fitted with the 4-wire probes.......

The resistor in the 'eliminator is fitted accross the 'probes heater wires....No good whatsoever.

I understand what the sensor does, I know how it does it, and I also appreciate the benefit of having it fitted.

I'm still to be given a good reason for removing it.
