No they have to be clearly marked im sure...

Legal or not, it is a bit tight.

I thought they were meant to act as a deterent, not a revenue earner.

The Government scraped that requirement last year. In the same way that scamera partnerships no longer have to advertise in advance which routes they will be targeting each day. It is now about catching folk, not deterring folk.

i knew about the horsebox in north wales,

but using an autoglass van, is a bit sneaky, the public should boycott autoglass if this is true

Could the Police be breaking the law? Isn't it illegal to pass yourself off as an employee or agent of a company without the firm's permission? I don't think Autoglass would allow the use of their vans or company logo to persecute motorists.

I first checked this thred was started after lunch so I assume its real and not an April fool.

If its true then thats pathetic, they argue that its a safety thing so we support our budget been spent on them. Then we go into recession and over night its all about earning them a christmas bonus is that what its coming too? With more and more job losses there is less revinue so they're just going to target motorists even more?! The autoglass van is the most underhand thing I've heard of. Not impressed.
