Need some advice please! Been searching high and low through the site and it seems like the most recommended screen is the Fabbri double bubble screen as the best aftermarket one.
I have just bought a curvy fully faired SV650. I am 6ft 2in and will be riding it to London once a week. During the week I will be riding it around London. Although double bubble may look cool, I need something practical for on the motorway, but dont want something that is going to vibrate too much. Had a CBR600F previously and a Powerbronze flip up which was ok although not the best fit. Can anyone advise on whether you think a DB screen would suffice and also has anyone got advice on flip up screens and/or photos. Cheers ![]() |

The Dubble Bubble one's are great and work fine at motorway speeds for me and I would say I'm around 6'2" as well. They don't really vibrate but if you find your head bobbing about a lot it might be your helmet that you want to replace?

Zero Gravity gets my vote as the best screen for either SV, closely followed by Fabbri.

Powerbronze also do an 'airflow' DB screen I have them on both mine, and have done many motorway miles and an occasional 500 in one go. They are brilliant. If you can get an old sort curvy one you can even have the SV650 logo on it ![]()

I've had both Airblade and Powerbronze iridium screens.
The Airblade was much lower, than the PB one, but I prefered the look on the bike of the AB, but the PB was a bit more practical. The AB was a bit difficult to fit whereas the PB dropped on, but you couldn't see any difference once fitted. Airblade ![]() Powerbronze ![]() Height difference ![]() |

Thanks again! |

Guys I was looking at Powerbronzes iridium screens.I also read about the melting clocks from iridium screens
http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...iridium&page=2 I wolud like to ask if the iridium screens are resistant to stones etc or their iridium mirror coating peels and fells off? I ask because the iridium helmet visors are very sensitive to small stonew, insects etc and really delicate whenyou have to clean them.In fact it is a matter of time for the mirror coating to come off.. Does this happen to iridium windscreens? edit:Are the blue-matrix screens a product of powerbronze? Last edited by TOLAROS; 03-04-09 at 12:29 AM. |
