There is no legal requirement for a proof of restriction, this is just an insurance company being awkward.

How the heck are you supposed to ride it to a garage with a dyno to give you a printout without insurance?

just rang and spoke to a manager and was told that they get all the info and docs upfront so in the event of a claim it makes it much faster process
He just told me that a DYNO is fine alsong as its got the reg Ect on the print out.
so just need to find a dyno centre in manchester now.
thanks for the advice guys.
Did i read on here somewhere that a DYNO can damage your tyres?

they will insure me but need the proof within 2 weeks from when the policy is taken out.

Have to admint that H + R insurance is the only place thats quoted me under 1000 pounds the next cheapest was 1400 just Third party then the next was all 1900- 2500 !!!!(MCE) All the major bike insurers wanted over 2000

I do have a dyno print out, not sure if its got any spesfic bike/ecu details on it but can always have a rumage for you. Might have to wait a day or two though.

just rang hunts they dont do DYNO runs .

They put me onto motorcyle centre stockport who will do it for 40 quid. ]
or rocketcentre for 25 quid but i think the stockport one is closer so i might go for that one

One other thing guys ....
The bike has got a scorpion street extreme stubby end can.
Will the can make my Dyno go over 33bhp.
or will the ECU make the bike 33bhp no matter what you do to it ?

Ahh, it's a good life. 18, FC for my SV is £560.
