Last one for now...

Lets see if people are interested first.

Although I guess folk can see what's possible now.

If there's enough interest - we can finalise a design and approach Paul the 6th to see what he can do.

I'm no graphic designer, but how feasable is this.

As Hovis frequently says, our section is rather large so how about a logo the represents each section..

i.e. a sheep for wales, a pastie for Devon and Cornwall, maybe a bucket / spade for the coast...

and then knock it all up like a coat or arms ( OK maybe not so ghey ) but you get the idea...

Or how about just a simple picture of a surfer or an SV surfing the waves ?

You are of course quite welcome to tell me to shut up

Is this going to be sheep riding SV's?

If it is SV's, is it user specific i.e. naked/curvy/pointy!?

You can see how this is leading to a very big can of worms.

I like the idea of section specific tee's as long as some of the profits go back to the org.

I think the section name, a section 'logo' (whatever that may be,) "sv650.org" and the screen name of the individual is more then enough for the tee before it either becomes too cluttered and/or too complicated

I'd have a punt at this mate. Were talking about this for last years AR with some of the MoFo's but never happened.

I always make a T-Shirt for the AR

You got's to make a special one for Viper though.

Positive responses so far - cool. And yes I realised this was a BIG can of worms.... but someone had to open it.

I like the idea of a picture for each area incorportated into a coat of arms type thing (provided its not too elaborate).

The mock-up's I've done so far are simply taken from vistaprint.co.uk. They seem to offer a good price for everything people would want (as described by Cymraeg above).

I was thinking about the logistic's of this last night and I think the simpliest approach is to design what we want and then talk to Paul the 6th about the printing and cost. If he's able and happy to do so, he can then put our finalised design onto his site (see OP for link to site) and we can all buy the qty's, colours etc that we want. This also means a %age will go back to the org.

So what do we want to do in terms of design?

I've narrowed that down to 4 choices:

Coat of Arms (picture for each area)
Single Picture (entire section)
Seperate T and Picture for each area - so 3 different S&WS T's (would mean we're different, but all would have S&WS written on it)
No picture (simply words - which may be the default if no decision can be agreed)

I'm happy to have a bash at the design, but I'm no artist, so if anyone is more capable give us a shout.

Also, the more input the better, so don't be shy - let's have your thoughts.
