Yikes, sounds like even cars are having a tricky time of it. Riding into work (late) in the rain today was a pleasure compared to yesterday! one thing I will say for winter riding, its improved my wet weather riding as I have more confidence on that now.
Since investing in a decent full set of winter gear, riding year round is much more enjoyable! must post a review at some stage too.

Not for all of us! We had rain last night too but it froze as a solid sheet of ice on my (never gritted) road. Annoyingly I was in a 17 year old Saab 9000 "loan" car as mine is in for a service and they didn't finish it yesterday. This elderly heap has rubbish front tyres and is an auto. I was just thinking the gearbox was broken when I realised it was not pulling away due to wheelspin...

I'm turning into a wimp & havent used the bike since.....About Christmas Day. It has given me a chance to sort my project fairing out, so I'm not complaining that much.
I think I'm getting old. I used to ride whatever the weather, but havent been bothered this year.
