I find it distasteful and crass to say the least that he would want to do such a thing, and secondly that a radio station would be ok with airing this kind of public humiliation.

I am not saying that her morals are crystal nor am I saying that she was in the right, but I dont think that retaliation of this fashion was necessary, nor in anyway a healing benifit to him.

You say that the girl is about to live a lie, well I am sure she never signed up to be with someone who could act in such a vindictive manner.

I guess this is one of those times that you have your opinion and I have mine.

BTW if this was the other way around and a bloke had cheated on his girlfriend etc, I would feel exactly the same way about it.
I think it's very much down to the perception of the two wrongs, personally I don't find the radio 'humiliation' that bad, I'd certainly rather be dealt that card than the other way round. Secondly I find it rare that people seem to get what they 'deserve' in this world, I wouldn't do the same myself but for that reason definitely find it amusing .

Not worth dwelling on too much I don't think, wouldn't be surprised if it was staged.

Yes I see how that equation is balancing.
You're right, the radio thing doesn't even begin to make the slightest impact compared with the hurt she has caused.

But at least it's a start.

I agree with Anna and Ed on this one.

I thought it was a bit funny to begin with and then when she started to get upset and they were just completely ripping it out of her I got uncomfortable.

Yeah, she did wrong but like someone else said, a real man wouldn't do want to humiliate someone like that.

And like Anna, it would make no difference to me if it was a woman doing it to a man.

Anna I really respect your maturety, on a disagreement which has two very solid opposing sides you've managed to maintain a level head. I've seen a few less significant arguements on here that have caused people to spit the dummy out. Its nice to see someone willing to debate rather than retort well done you

That said I think your a smelly poopoo head.
joking obviously!

But I still do disagree, the key difference from my perspective is that he got hurt, she got humiliated. Admitantly humiliation infront of your peirs is bad enough normally and in this case he did it for a massive audience and so its a more severe humiliation. But I still think she deserved it, she cheated on him a couple of times then stopped fooling around with this Eric bloke. Their relationship continued and then as cheaters always do she cheated again, this time in public and in a local bar where Chris's friends also happened to be. What makes it worse is that she'd already found the ring so she KNEW he was going to propose and she STILL cheated. TBH the more I think about it the more I dont think the radio humiliation is enough. I only say this becuase my original statement doesnt seem very fair, your arguement has been backed up and supported by your oppinion/view point I felt I owed an explanation for my perception.
Obviously we agree to disagree, which is quite nice to be able to do

Side note:
I'd be interested in knowing who of the people who think he's in the wrong have acutally been cheated on at somepoint. Similarly those like myself and Dave who think he's justified I'd like to know if they'd been cheated on etc.
Personally I have been cheated on and there is not only the hurt that comes with it or even the mental tourment of visualising someone you love with someone else but the humiliation of been shown so little respect by someone who you thought as highly of you, as you did of them. That can really knock you for six I struggled with it for a while before accepting it. IMO this bloke fought fire with a fire extinguisher and then pi55ed on the fire for good measure. I'd buy that bloke a pint!

Yes morally she was the one who was wrong first. Do two wrongs make a right... erm no.
I'm with Anna on this one.

Does that make me a fogey?

Meh! Whatever.
