What's the ice cream ride bit after ponderosa?

I think like chris says, we are so close to the bunkhouse at that point, people can potentially explore and do what they want.

I fancy just chilling out and getting some nice photos of the local area, it's a long ride to the bunkhouse for me so don't want to go to far and get knackered.

Open to opinions after ponderosa though, I'll keep my eyes open for suggestions.

At least the route there and meetig places are sorted except for timings

Would show G the Snowdonia railway. There is a nice view point if it's a clear day. We'd do the Pen-y pass both ways. Well worth doing IIRC. Beddgelert for ice cream and a nice run back to the bunkhouse.

Opinions?

I must ask everyone coming with us to have a map and or directions from the Ponderosa to the bunkhouse, in case they don't feel like doing the later bit

Right I'll be doing this route below

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&so...9,1.450195&z=9

I'll be leaving point A at whatever time I need to leave on the Friday to meet pete/lissa/speirs etc at point B/Dans Motorcycles.

Probably fairly early I imagine but times to be confirmed :P

I dont finish work until five, so it may be late before I get there. Is the bunkhouse easy to find?

Straight off the A5, I passed it without realising the other day, it's well signed from the road and I imagine you will still be arriving in the light anyway.

As the natives would tell you:
If you get to Cerrigydrudion, you've gone too far. Retrace your steps & take B4501 which will be just over a mile from ( not spellling THAT again ) on your right. another mile or so & it's a gravel track again on your right.
