I had the same problem and replaced with one from a blade. Works fine. I also replaced the thin wiring harness running from it to the battery to thicker wire for less resistance. Maybe a bit overkill but no harm in it either...

How did you determine the generator's gone? Please remember that it generates alternating current not direct current.

Was this done at a dealer?

Did they check the generator was working as it should before replacing the reg/rec?

A friend is doing it now
Just unfortunate for me that the car is the garage as well having the head gaskit sorted.
So no vehicles at all at the minute.
Not looking likely i will be making a track day at the weekend then

If you have a tow bar, I have a single bike trailer you could borrow. Only snag is it is currently in the back garden.

Got no spare cash to hire a van as my car has broken down as well (Head Gaskit)
So no car and no bike and no money
Plus it looks like it will rain!
Maybe i should just do the gardening and save some money!

That all sounds rather familiar. Apart from the gardening. Most you'll ever catch me doing is cutting the grass. Oh that reminds me, I have no lawn mower because that broke too.

Jerry, what's the latest on the bike?
Hopefully everything will be sorted soon. If there's anything I can do to help just give me a shout.
