Bike is in for MOT as we speak. Fingers crossed on a pass. I'm sure it will though.

Bad news is I have broken my hand and can't ride it.

So, did it pass?

How long does a broken hand take to heal? Probably the same amount of time that the summer will last!

It passed easily. Decided to try and ride it. Did 18 painful miles before I had total electrical failure.

Recovered home by my good lady with the trailer. Electrical diagnostics found the ignition live wire totally corroded. 10 minutes later bike is running again. Went out and did another 50 miles. Every pull of the clutch sent pains shooting up my arm. But by god it was good to be back on a bike.

No more riding now until hand has healed. Hand is so swollen I could hardly get my glove off.

Cool! Where abouts? When do you move in? Whens the flat warming? Does that mean your going to come down the shire again?

Got sunburn up at the Gooseneck today.

It's a hard life, it really is.

You only needed to say it the once.

You never know, now I am mobile again (two wheels) you may just see me at the Shire again.

Glad to hear the bike passed Si. sounds like there are a few more electrical gremlins lurking in there. There was a lot of corrosion on all sorts under the tank- best carry some crimps under the seat

It was the ignition live wire going into the plug. Totally corroded. When I took the side faring off, it fell apart. Seems previous owner had been having difficulties with that particular plug and made a bit of a hash sorting it out. All fine now though. Rode it to work and back yesterday and apart from the idle needing turning down and the front brake lever needing adjusting everything was sublime. (Apart from my dodgy gear changes due to a swollen/bruised/broken left hand.)
