Not a chance - my mother does iron hers though - in fact if its a cloth item she will iron it, tea towels, pants, socks, bed linen, face cloths - whatever!

Judging by the replies so far it is a services and age related yes and a younger generation no.
Apart from underpants, socks and towels we have everything ironed. I can understand this to a point because if you are in full time employment,or both are, time is an issue, where as neither my wife or myself work. |

Constructive folding is what happens in this house. Everything is uniformly folded, then sits in a mountain of clean washing, so much weight it flattens itself!
The only thing that I iron, is Pegs shirts, not good to have a squashed suit is there....and its with much reluctance too. He gets the iron out and does a man thing, holding shirt in funny fashion, put in heap on the board, so I have to rip the iron off him and show him what to do ![]()

You wouldn't be in that state if it was only the iron you ripped off him

Haha, I'm with Dizzy on this. I iron Dans work shirts, but anything else I do when I need it. As for bed linen, strangely (if you go by Dicky Tickers logic), I used to iron my bed linen all the time, but then again, I used to be a clean freak and have my houses looking like show homes 24/7...even with having two dogs.
Then Dan moved in, we got two more dogs and with age I have developed the mentality of, I am not spending all my time cleaning and tidying and if visitors don't like it, they can go make coffee at theirs...lol. So in conclusion, no...I don't...lol x |
