Someones going to the ring...oh I do wonder who that is?!?!
I reckon you should just move there; would save you quite a bit of travelling time over a year! hehe Hope you enjoy your trip. |

Re: Nurburgring TF - 10 days Fri 27th Aug - Sun 5th Sept
Lapping minimised by weather.
Only 14 bike laps so far. 1.5 laps in the Estate in the wet, wood, leather and soft suspension aided overtaking a Porsche GT3 RS and a Corvette! Shonky Suzuki wouldn't start yesterday afternoon, been in the bike shop nd won't be fixed until they get a new camshaft position indicator tomorrow. So I missed out on yesterday evening's lapping To maximise fun I've hired a slightly different Suzuki for this evening's lapping: 130 HP 1000Kg 0-100km/h ca. 8 sec. 205km/h Roll-cage Race Brakes incl. airducts Racing seats, 4-point seatbelts TOYO R888 Semi-Slicks Tyres PURE EXCITMENT ON THE NURBURGRING! It should be fun if a little different to the 750 |

Well, 7.5 laps of fun Awesome little machines, one of the car marshalls I know dragged me round for a few laps, it's amazing how much you can throw these things about compared to a bike, and great for a little giant killing (Porsche, Gullwing Merc, Focus RS Cosworth, Track prepped Merc 190 2.3-16) nice to get out on track again last night:
If anyone is off to the Ring and fancies it in a car I'd recommend hiring one of the above bad boys for a few laps, the whole muddy insurance thing is covered as it is German registered: http://www.rent4ring.de/en/info/index.html The bike should be ready to go for this evening, looking forward to being back out on two wheels. GSX-R part isn't arriving until tomorrow now, so another evening of lapping wasted

Rest of the trip went well once the K6 was fixed, new PB and optimal lap time, loads of beer, a lap driving a mates R26R, free paddock pass for WSBK qualifying etc. A trip report may occur in the winter months.
