battery/GSXR rear shock query.
I have just fitted a K4 gsxr thou rear shock. Have cut the battery box ect. However, now that the battery is so elevated, i have to apply a fair amount of pressure to get the seat on and bolted in. Is this a problem or is it ok for the seat to be applying pressure on the top of the battery?

Re: battery/rear shock query
Think the solution is to either cut a section out from under the seat, or to space the battery away from the shock, so it sits in its holder properly.
See what the wisdom of the Org comes up with? Pics would help too

Re: battery/rear shock query
if i recall i had to give a little push when i done mine and i'm sure that the battery was touching the seat as i had also removed the grey block.

Re: battery/rear shock query
Did the fact that the battery was touching the seat cause any issues to the seat or battery over time?
Am still unsure whether it is an issue or not |

Re: battery/rear shock query
i had the bike converted for about a year before it got stolen and seen no ill effects. i would keep an eye on the reservoir on the shock touching the battery as this will wear the battery casing.
