sounds about right, car or bike, makes no odds they both use the same ammount of fuel, just more fun on a bike.

I'm suprised people in Scotland can cope without getting narked off. On a news article this morning it was noted that in Ulapool its now at £1.48 a litre!
Glad I don't live in the Shetlands like my friend, that'll cost you £1.58! Not suprised he has working ponies

It now brings myself and Peg to think about a trip to Glasgow to pay respects to someone in the near future...two bikes?, one of which needs a set of tyres, or the comfort of the poofwaggon?, as its really no cheaper for the bikes anymore

Decided to top up the car this morning to save time going to the parents this weekend. According to the gauge only used a quarter tank (just over 100 miles) but still £20 to 'top it up'!!!!

I have to laugh, though. My mother's hairdresser has just been slapped with £235.00 tax disc for her stupid convertible Ford Kack 1.6, while my Celica only costs £200.00 tax. The Kack only emits 4 more g of CO2/KM but that's enough, it would seem!

NO, two bikes. Neither of us can sit pillion for long enough
Why should we cut down on one or the others enjoyment ?, its bad enough wondering about fuel. Neither of us have sat pillion for years for that long!
I'm not getting out on the bike at all right now, so the trip would perhaps be the only long distance ride for me this year, and its not really a 'for fun' trip. I may as well sit in the car if I've to ride pillion, and lets face it, would peg really sit on the back of one of mine, cause although he would gladly pass me the keys to the bus, I'm really not strong enough to hold it up with him on the back lol.

I may as well hang up my boots

Seriously, I don't smoke, I rarely drink, I'm at home all day being mum, have a zero social life, I can't go back to work as the shift patterns at willy wonka are completely family unfriendly, so why the hell is this farrooking government taking the only thing that keeps me sane away from me sucks big fat donkey b&lls

At this rate, the AR ride itself will be a trip to the petrol station in Settle and back, because none of us will be able to afford to fuel up for much further!
As I said about 148 in Ulapool, businesses up there are finding it far cheaper to transport their goods by air, rather than train or road....so much for green miles eh
