Never lend your tools, thats how they get damaged ,go missing or manage to find a new home, but 40+years of engineering taught me that lesson.
By all means take your tools and help the person do the job and that way your tools haven't been abused, lost, misplaced or end up on permanent loan
People tend to use tools for the wrong purpose if they don't know what they should be used for

It's fixed! Cracked it with a 2ft breaker with hoover pole extending it another half foot and all was good. As i mentioned in the clutch threads i stuffed up putting the clutch release on and ended up dropping it to wylies for 10 minutes to adjust it as i'd had enough after ruining the screw and its all good to go

I'm also always a doom monger when it comes to noises on the bike - always assume the worst and need to chill but now trev mentions damaging bearings it makes me worry the slight metallic rattling sound coming from the new front sprocket could be something like that that or chain alignment is out, or the locking washer didnt seat right and has squashed on wrong and thus the sprocket isnt sitting correctly....

or just the standard rattle of metal over metal
i think i need to chill more and ride more!
