My curvy build thread.
Well got this in Novermber or something last year with 14k miles on it...
Mods are:- Viper exhaust black double bubble screen Pyramid belly pan de-grab railed tail tidy Alpha dotted Rear hugger Rear undertray So far just gave it a service... Filled with Motul 7100... Changed plugs. Have now stripped it down, to paint it black and white (bmw saphire black and bmw alpine white). Prob take engine out and re-paint that black, but seen some special tool you need??? Did some stuff.... Plastic welded up a crack round the front right indicator... Sanded... Fillered.... High build primered some panels... Stay tuned |

Re: My curvy build thread.
There's an ebay seller that does the SV engine and swingarm tools. Well worth getting IMO if you're going to drop the engine.
Looking forward to progress. |

Re: My curvy build thread.
Do you want to sort mine out after???
Did you use a soldering iron on the front fairing? Mine are both cracked and I'm looking at changing the colour of the whole bike from dull yellow (clearly some botched re-spray) to black in the near future. I need help. |

Re: My curvy build thread.
Indeed just used a soldering iron, was pretty easy. Just need to spead the plastic with the wider part of the iron don't go too fast as it won't do anything or too slow as to burn a hole in it but enough maybe 1-2mm penetration each side.

Re: My curvy build thread.
Back middle panel lacquered... Took out 2nd and 3rd gear switch to ecu wires, mine was green/blue and red/black instead of red/yellow. Last edited by LJH; 30-03-11 at 11:35 PM. |
