That's a good point Claire. I hadn't thought of removing the battery for the winter. Think I might do that next time

It would Claire so dont try Plug the optimate in and let it take care of your battery when its not being ridden.

New battery fitted and works a treat

Am I right in thinking that I need to take the old battery to the tip or recycling place???

Correct, keep hold of it and il take it off your hands next time im round, i generaly go to the tip once a week with stuff from the garage.
