I did have the SV out alot more than my previous bikes, I guess it could just be that I settled into the grunt!
In regards to handling I might just play about with it and see if I can soften it down a touch to ease myself onto it then tighten as I advance with it.

Honestly the bike you have sitting there is a belter! The best part is how 'average' it looks compared to a super sports but how it's well up there if not better handling wise than most of them esp. older ones.

Get the suspension set up for you, make sure tires are good. Go practise on it and show up some sports bikes!

I think i'll hold off on selling then I'm fairly well mechanically minded, but never tried suspension, it wouldn't be a bad thing to do it myself would it after reading or would it be best to leave it to the professionals?
Also how much to get it set up and where abouts in the Stamford area?

It's something I haven't gone too much into myself, maybe ask in your regional part of the forum. About £60 for someone good, but people say it's the best thing you can do for a bike, especially one with so much adjustment and quality sus.

Make sure you mark where it is at the moment then if all else fails you can return it to that position.

Also don't go hurtling into any corners before you're used to any new setup.

As I said via PM, stick to factory settings, if you're within the range mentioned, Triumph got it pretty spot on, this presumes of course both forks and shock are in decent condition, check static rider sag, but you should find that to be ok as standard to.

( with the bar conversion you may need a very little more preload on the back as the weight is shifted back a bit, but to start with I'd still leave everything as standard and see how you go).

Cheers Mark.
