Default What new bike next?

Hi all, been over a year since my SV went, after which I bought a Yamaha Virago 750. (always fancied one)

Soon got bored with that and it went at the weekend, so looking for advice.

Just seen a nice CBR600 Sport, but my back won't really fancy the position after a few miles, and I don't get my knee down so the Sport was probably a daft thought, but it was local and I went more for the fitting.

I've read the CBR600F is the same riding position so unless that is untrue, that's off the list too.

ZZR600's are plentiful as are Thundercats.

Looking for an early 2000 model.

Even considering a VFR800.

I didn't really have any issues with my SV (curvy) riding position, so what difference are there between the above bikes in comparison.

Maybe I spent tooooo long on my Virago and got used to the armchair riding position??

Advice welcome and appreciated.

Cheers Sean

I was chatting to an older chap who has just had a back operation, he rides a k5 gixxer 1000. Apparently the riding position in fact stretches his back out and is more comfortable than being upright say in a car where his spine is compressed. I would imagine the pain would be more wrist than back.

What about an mt09?

VMax is my favourite but budget wont get me a decent one.

Looking 2k max as I just use it as a toy.

Only did 300 miles on my Virago compared to around 800 on the SV, I didnt have the inclination to ride it.

The MT is too new so out of my price.

What's wrong with the sv. Seams ideal for you.
A zzr is a sports with the edge knocked off. Had a 600, bought back in the 90's,did 18,000 two up miles great bike. Even the 600 is still fast enough to get you in trouble.
