Default Prevent cover getting stolen - again!

I'm wondering what, if anything, I can do to prevent my cover getting nicked again.

I'm thinking that I can paint something on it which would make any would-be thief reluctant to nick it. It has to be embarrassing enough to make a thief think again, polite enough not to offend the neighbours and innocuous enough to avoid vandalism.

Ideas so far:

Big pink lips

I heart .....? what?

....?.M.C.

Flowers

Anyone else got any ideas?

The cover I used to use had reinforced holes for a chain to pass through at the wheels so it was secured to bike. Or are you doing this already and it's still been nicked?

Cable lock on top of the cover wrapped over the seat and under the bike?

I also found that this prevented the cover coming adrift in high winds.

Put eyelets into the cover so you can thread your lock through it

Red Herring - I like it but I wouldn't be happy about revealing that kind of info.

NTECUK - That was my first thought but I think that could attract some unwanted vandalism too.

Christian/daddyjob- I considered putting in eyelets but I think the kind of thief round here wouldn't think twice about slashing the bottom to get at it.

Creaky - Possibly, but that's more expense.

Sir Trev - Do i need to answer that?

I think the way to go is to make the cover 'unattractive' to a would-be thief, not just challenging to nick. The feckers have had the bike away twice and been unable to bypass the immobiliser whilst shafting the steering lock and severing the ignition loom!

I'm going to re-attach the lower fairings when i get a chance - my guess is they're pretty dumb 50cc DNA riders who see the unfaired S as a step up.

Get some sort of personal attack alarm that has a pin that pulls out to deploy the alarm.

Attach one end to your bike, the other to your cover. when they try and steal your cover, it'll pull the pin out & set the alarm off.

Fair enough, what about the registration number of your bike?

I've stenciled "STOLEN" and my postcode into the bonnet of my garden tractor by drilling the shape of the letters out with a drill to make it super unattractive to thieves. Just hope I never decide to sell it....!
