Re: Broke down this morning
Is the battery flat, if so sounds like reg/rec has fried. When mine went the dash lit up like a Xmas tree then engine just died. Some of these bikes were subject to a recall for reg/rec replacement.

Re: Broke down this morning
K, I like the idea of the tip over. Had a quick look this morning and its certainly loose in its mount. Ill check it later and post back.
I have a loom and ignition switch that I was planning to fit at some point. When going through the process of fitting it, ill be checking all connections. I'm still a little hung up on the fact I got fuel from a dodgy garage but you guys are sure that this would not cause these issues? Infector blocked? Any sensor on the fuel system that would be affected?

Re: Broke down this morning
So I finally got a chance to take a look this evening and thankfully one of the first things I checked was fuses. Ignition fuse had blown. Nice and simple.
So I'm thankful for the advice and hope that I'm done but is a fuse likely to blow for no reason or does this indicate other issues?

Broke down this morning
Exactly the same as mine!
Check your wiring to see if it's shorting out. Mine was one of the cables leading to the alarm unit! Spot of leccy tape and job done!

Broke down this morning
Oh and to add, do you keep anything in your boot? I used to keep my disc lock, which is what wore through the insulation. So if you do, start your search there!

Re: Broke down this morning
Went to fit a new loom over the past week and in the process of removing the existing loom, quite a bit of water came out of many different connector blocks. Not sure if this was the source of the blown ignition fuse but i guess time will tell.
I also fitted the spurious lock set that Wemoto are selling (didnt buy mine from them) so this could also have aided the ignition fuse issues. Ive been turning it on an off for a good while now and not getting any c42 errors any more. If the fuze and c42 are resolved, ill be delighted and think that my faulty lock was 99% the problem.
