Re: SV650 Factory Toolkit vs. What?
I keep a small pair of nail scissors in my tool-kits and a small roll of cuttable plasters in a zip-lock plastic bag and or a small tube of,"Superglue" for welding cuts on my hands if I get any also a couple of pairs of disposable gloves

Re: SV650 Factory Toolkit vs. What?
Further to this, does anyone have a comprehensive list of the tools in the standard toolkit?

The picture of the kit that bristolboy posted on the for sale thread looks complete. If you haven't got a kit, I'd get that one.

Re: SV650 Factory Toolkit vs. What?
Yeap, looks like the same bunch of high quality tools that are rusting in my secret compartment.
However as I've used them a couple of times I am glad they are there. Hurry up and buy them off Bristol Boy. Money well spent if you don't have them. |

Re: SV650 Factory Toolkit vs. What?
The first two tools on the left are the most useful I'd say. They fit like no other, the rest can easily be substituted

Re: SV650 Factory Toolkit vs. What?
Without meaning to hijack the thread, does anyone know where I can get the extension bit for the spanners (no 4 in pic)?
I managed to get a new shock C spanner but only see full kits on Fleabay. Ta

Re: SV650 Factory Toolkit vs. What?
The Oxford kit is alright, got one free from Carole Nash, glad I didn't pay for it. Also most bits in there won't help with much. Make up a kit or the original would better imo.
Don't have a boot or secret compartment on the Daytona so I just carry a puncture repair kit, visor cleaning kit and my disc lock in a kriega us5 on the back seat. Easy to use and fit/remove so can be taken with when leaving the bike unattended. Reckon you could fit a decent home made kit in a us10 in a lunch box type thing. Mate does that for his vfr
