Came back up the Minsterley road and over Long Mountain on the gnarly little single track lanes. Much nicer and almost no traffic.

Bugger! Can't make it. My Sunday mornings are generally spoken for. Have a good ride Craig.

No worries, Sunday mornings are usually free for me, so it's bike time. It was a cracking ride, a few caravans and camera vans but they didn't get in the way too much

My ride home via the A49, turning off at Leominster was so much better than the way up. Set out at 9 so must have been ahead of a lot of ditherers. Not may caravans, almost no cyclists oddly, and the only hold up was bad queues to get past Worcester. Feel knackered now and I'm glad I had a bottle of water with me to guzzle down on my leg-stretch-breaks.

Glad your ride back was ok Trev. The A49 can be a horrible road at certain times!

Father-in-Law thought I was nuts for heading that way but it was a great ride down - must have hit the sweet spot before the real nutters woke up.

Best bit of the run was holding up an increasingly frustrated 911 GT3RS driver who clearly thought his over-priced penis extension deserved to have an empty road in front, not some middle aged plonker enjoying the sweepies at the speed limit(ish). After nearly ten minutes, between Bicester and Thame, we got to a mile long empty straight and he screamed past me on the rev limiter, only for me to sail up behind him two minutes later when he got to some speed bumps in the next village. He could not get away from me after that and I'm pretty sure he went a different way to me at a roundabout five miles later just to get rid of me. Snigger. I'm sure they're great fun to drive but he was clearly a knobber.

'Fraid not. It's gone ten but I'm still propped up in bed, cuppa beside me, toast (and Marmite) consumed, not wanting to get up. Had a great day out on the beach in Brighton yesterday with my old uni mates at our annual family picnic and I am utterly cream crackered. The large volume of cooling beverages yesterday did not help plus the overcrowded trains all the way home, and it's still hotter than Hades at night here so not enough sleep, etc...

Have a nice run out.
