Thanks for the heads up. I just need to hook the release bits back in and it should be ok. Hope you don't mind me grabbing it?

Nah, I already have more than I use after all, it was the chance of a bargain! I also found a Beier Vauxhaul on ebay last night, it's quite similar to the Certo Super Sport Dolly so am keeping an eye on it, 173477402270

I've had a tinker with the Vitessa and found a couple of issues. The shutter ****.ing now works but the shutter releasr is damaged and keeps getting stuck, I can work around this but it's not pretty and will need further investigation. Also, I don't know if the film advance is working, not sure how to test.

Pics! What do you mean about the film advance? Or is it one with a separate advance and the film turns the sprockets?

I think I've fixed it. Used the small spring in the above photo at the top and tweaked the shaft and it seems to work. Rangefinder adjustment needs checking but looking good.

Good work. That spring was fubar, did you find it like that? Has someone been in there already?

No, I did that. But the end was stretched over the stop which meant it didn't work properly. It wouldn't come off so had to pull it out. Just got to figure out how to stop the charging plunger becoming detached from the other side. Easiest way is to open the door and tip the camera upside-down and it slides back in to place.

There was a little history attached to the Vitessa. The seller's father bought it new in 1952 and it was passed to him when he went travelling. So what are you lot up to?
