Handguards for 2016-
Hi
I'm looking for a recommendation for handguards please. For the new model SV. I already have Oxford Heated Grips, which have the wires on the inside of the grip and those need to turn. So I think handguards would need to be the bar end only ones. I want them to block wind, more than for crash protection, so generic/budget is fine. Most of the ones I've found want to attach on the inside too. Oxford have some but they are both pricey and ugly... Barkbuster Storm looks fine, but £85.... Thanks |

Acerbis makes some quite nice but they're also a bit pricey, on the other hand you can always look for the Chinese copy on ali

You might not like the cheap-and-cheerful ones I fitted to my Curvy,
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/22mm-7-8-...gAAOSwiSJbfN~G £10 ish. As they are universal had to do a but of pushing, bending and a little fettling of the metal arm bracket to get them to fit but nothing hard to do.

Re: Handguards for 2016-
Thanks guys.
I saw lots looking like those riff raff. They look ok, great for the price. but I think they'd interfere with the other kit (or too much work). I don't think the other suzuki ones will just plug in. Good tip but no joy on ali express. but by searching x-tarmac on eBay, rather than acerbis there are a couple of cheaper acerbis style ones. Might go for those. I thought there would be more about. Plenty with different fixings, but not bar end only. Cheers |

These?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycl...8AAOSwxN5WYF5h I have bigger handguards on one of my bikes, TBH the wind protection is not brilliant. For real cold weather, heated grips and muffs are brilliant. The grips cables wont cause any hassle with any type of hand guard. |

try alchemy, i have some alchemy bar end only ones on my 2016 AL7, the bar adaptor was a bit small and I had to modify, also had to space them out slightly to stop them interfering with brake lever, they have LED daylight running lights included if you want to connect them up, I didn't bother because I have a couple of 10watt alchemy LED spotlights mounted on handlebars which make me highly visible ( https://www.alchemyparts.co.uk/unive...-trikes-quads/ I just made a flat bracket to fit under handlebar mirror mounting and bolted bracket straight on - will post a picture if you want one - also got a handlebar switch that matches the other Suzuki stuff spot on https://www.alchemyparts.co.uk/wirin...eatured&page=2 ). they have plenty of choice anyway. if you hover mouse pointer over the images more information including dimensions is revealed - very useful

I've gone for the Oxfords. If they are particularly good or bad, I'll report back. Thanks

Re: Handguards for 2016-
Yes, those ones.
Reporting back..... They look ok, pretty good actually, and better than the picture online. But they don't seem to do anything beneficial. They also don't stay in place (ie they swivel around). Because of the bar end only fixing, I suppose. The bar end is not as good as the stock bar end mechanism (and they don't work as well using those parts). I could superglue them in place, but I didn't really want to. |
