Re: bike stops when i let go of starter button
R1ffR4ff indicated that you need to bridge the neutral switch in the plug rather than just unplug it....

Re: bike stops when i let go of starter button
How would this make a difference..as by unplugging your taking it out completely??

Even if the dashboard light is saying bike is in neutral it is the other contact that will be causing the problem with bike cutting out when clutch lever released.

Re: bike stops when i let go of starter button
I'm afraid mine was done before I got the bike and the PO even removed the wires that run to the clutch
I did this on my old Hondas though with just a bit of thick 30 amp fuse wire across the ends of the wire that goes to the Clutch switch I've never missed this feature

Yes I was holding in the clutch.....how would the starter relay affect it?...…..its so weird.....as soon as I let off the starter switch it dies...almost like a kill switch.....will happily run and rev when starter switch held in!.. |

Re: bike stops when i let go of starter button
Sorry I looked at the wiring diagram quickly and thought that relay held the power on to the bike normally, but it is obviously just to turn the starter motor.
When you're holding the button is the starter motor turning the whole time? |
