Saying hello
Probably posting in the wrong section, just saying hello.
I have my 2003 sv650n for just over a year or so now. Been biking now for almost 20 years, did what most do, started small and went up to litre bikes. My last bike was a 2004 tuono, had it ten years, really liked it . I live in Ireland where the majority of roads near where I live are tight and twisty, plus the Gardai (police) seem to have the roads hounded around me with unmarked traffic cars. Just wasnt enjoying the tuono as much as I used to, my brother getting done by an unmarked car on his z1000 and having to pay a huge fine didn't help. So sold the tuono and just picked up the sv so as not to spend all the money, wasn't even looking for one, I have to say I absolutely love it. I have ktech springs fitted, zx10 rear shock and slightly wider bars as well. Much more fun than the tuono and more comfortable. |

Re: Saying hello
Just said I'd put up a picture of it, it was previously a UK bike according to the details that came with it.

Re: Saying hello
Jeez, where about are ya? I've always found the Gardai to be pretty sound...though maybe the Scots accent and proclaiming I don't know the rules (despite working there) have gone in my favour.... Welcome!

Re: Saying hello
I'm in Kerry where the traffic gardai are far from sound. Might be our local accent where we get away with nothing . Got done on a road one time for 10mph over the speed limit, same road you could land a 747 on, no other traffic and lovely dry day. Garda asks me, " have you any penalty points" to which I said no, cos I hadn't...... His answer " ah your alright so" and writes out the ticket.
