Shoei GT Air 2
Does anyone have a Shoe GT Air 2 helmet? I find mine really hot with has next to no airflow (ironic, given the name). I tried switching the top vent both ways on the motorway today and honestly couldn't tell the difference (I've also tried the same in cold weather) - I'm beginning to think mine has a vent blocked or something similar.
Opinions appreciated, as long as they don't involve buying a new helmet! |

Re: Shoei GT Air 2
On my Shoei its possible to unclip the entire inne liningl exposing the air holes, with a fine tube you could try blowing into the holes and then see ifvyou can detect any air outlet. After saying that I don't find it that obvious whether the vents are in the open or closed position

Re: Shoei GT Air 2
My shoei neotec has exhaust vents at the rear, did the Air2 have those? Are they open?

Re: Shoei GT Air 2
My Shoei NXR has an exhaust vent at the rear too. It needs to be open for the venting to be effective.

Re: Shoei GT Air 2
The rear vents on the Air 2 are fixed, and can't be opened/closed. I pulled the top vent apart, and it's not blocked, so unless the rear vents are the problem, I guess it's just a hot helmet.

Re: Shoei GT Air 2
Can you blow air through the rear vents into the helmet and feel it coming through the front?
