Re: Shimano Hollowtech
TBH I've had similar problems with road cranksets, the tensioning bolt thingy are different diameters and lengths. Unfortunately all my cranksets are road cranksets, so no use to you, but I'll see if I've got any tensioner thingys which are 22mm. I have a feeling that XT and Dura Ace share similar dimensions. St Johns Street cycles would be my first port of call for the tension thingy.

The crank arm fixing bolt is plastic and just puts tension onto the bearings, then do up the pinch bolts Sorry if thats stating the obvious

Re: Shimano Hollowtech
Pleased Mav can help you Bib, to be honest I am totally lost, and on a personal note as a choice I would not touch Hollowtech with a barge pole (I did read that the crank arms themselves can de-laminate. Not all from the Land of the Rising Sun is good )
St Johns bike shop is a good one, I agree with that - good luck |
