Re: The All New Megathread
Thanks all. I'm immensely relieved she's on the mend. She's not 100% yet, it'll take her a few days to recover properly. Hoping the blood test results don't show anything untoward. I still have vivid memories of the bout of meningitis she had at 13 months, and nearly losing her to it.

Re: The All New Megathread
Morning all. Looks like we have a dry day ahead of us here, clear blue sky at 7am although a bit hazier now. I'm hoping to get out and do a few outdoor jobs today.
Very happy to say that Mabel appears to be fully recovered now, she's full of beans and clearing her food bowl at every meal again. How's the day looking for everyone? |

Re: The All New Megathread
That's great news re Mabel. Hearts and stomachs are closely related with dogs, so she's obviously feeling much better! Good weather here too: aiming to get out for a walk in the sun, then a spin on the bike.
Big sis visiting from London later which is bittersweet: we were never particularly close siblings but for a number of reasons over the past few years the relationship has become a little more strained. However, she's visiting without her husband which usually means she's more like her old self. |

Hope that goes ok Craig. Family relationships can sometimes be the hardest to maintain.

Re: The All New Megathread
Morning all. Glorious sunrise here this morning, and a sunny day forecast. Hoping the weather is going to hold out for the annual Blackberry Fair in Whitchurch tomorrow.
What's the plan for the weekend? |

Re: The All New Megathread
Lovely and sunny here too Gary. Its a work day for me but brightened by our granddaughter coming over for the day and a sleepover. Fingers crossed it stays fine for Pooh Sticks after work!

Re: The All New Megathread
Our customer decided to ask us for our 25/6 budgets early with just two weeks notice, so I've been swamped today and missed the nice weather. Looks good for tomorrow so it's a toss up between a run to either Kidderminster (SVR Autumn Diesel Gala) or fish n chips on the south coast... Will see how I feel when I wake up. Not a bad decision to be stuck with I guess.

Re: The All New Megathread
Morning all. An absolutely glorious day here. Currently sat at Gobowen station waiting for the train to Whitchurch via Shrewsbury. Blackberry Fair day today and I'm booked to be one of the wandering minstrels/buskers around town.
I love this event: it's one of my annual markers and it signifies the proper start to autumn. A lovely day tinged with sadness at the passing of another summer. If you've never been to the Blackberry Fair it's well worth a visit. |
