Re: Vintage film cameras
Heading out to Chengdu again in a couple of weeks for what will probably be the last time.
As usual, pondering what film camera to accompany me. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Hey Howard, I saw a post about West Yorkshire Cameras closing their shop and having a big sale. Will have to look and see if they are moving to online only.
Edit, yeah it will be online only for a short time and after that it's being wound up sadly. https://wycameras.com/blogs/news/we-are-closing Sent from my SM-S911B using Tapatalk

Re: Vintage film cameras
Yeah. That is a shame. It was a handy place to buy film though I haven't bought any gear from them for a while. They became quite expensive when they moved the shop. I much preferred their old shop too, it was much more accessible.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Sorry mate, I didn't get a notification about your reply (recurring theme with this thread). That's awesome, those photos are brilliant. The notice board for wedding off the kids is very strange indeed!
I managed to score a Nikon FE with lens as well as a 135mm Nikon lens for £30 off marketplace. Camera seems to work but isn't film tested. Belonged to the ladies late father and they were having a clear out.

Re: Vintage film cameras
The park photos are from last year. One of those days when I had a sudden burst of inspiration and fired off a whole room. I'm in China at the moment, four weeks to go. I brought the Olympus superzoom 120 with me this year, bought two films but not used the camera yet.
You got the FE and lens for a good price. That camera is the only Nikon I have. I tried the FM but much preferred the FE. The only thing I don't like is the wind on lever as the shutter lock. |
