lap times I don't play with the lap timer its average speed that gets me. Dukes Pass should just be enjoyed for what it is, a little rough a little bit daft but hellishly good fun, but its an evening thing to be honest. its too busy during the day 7:30 to dusk is dukes time... I don't think Stuart would take too kindly if I started dragging people away mind you... Thing is we aren't using it...

Kinlochlevenloop is just as good and we are doing that bit on the actual GM, its in better condition and everyone can enjoy it.

Having learnt my lesson from GM2 where I got farrr too drunk on the Friday night, I will do a repeat of last year and take it easy(ish) on the Friday so I can ride on the Saturday!

Whats everyones plan for the Sunday?

Chances are I will have a few too many beers that night to do the rideout, so might just bail on the ride-out and head home mid afternoon or when I feel fit.

I'm planning on doing the Saturday and Sunday runs so I'll need to take it relatively easy both nights (within reason).

I'm staying the Sunday night at the campsite so I can take the very long way home on Monday.

Me too, I arranged and was supposed to be leading the Sunday rideout on the GM1, and I couldn't do it because I was still downing Whisky at 4am on the Sunday morning. I reckon if the police stopped some of the weekend rideouts that I've been on in the past few years, on the Saturday or Sunday morning at 10am, they could have a bloody field day with the breathalyzer! They'd need a minibus to arrest all the positive testers and a truck to impound all the bikes. It has now got better as the issue has been discussed on the forum a few times and awareness has got better.

Take it easy folks! Those 'one use only' crystal breathalyzers that cost a few quid are worth their weight in gold, take one with you and if you are in any doubt on Saturday morning, give it a blow before you get your gear on. They are not 100% accurate, but they are better than guesswork.

Problem is I just had 3 days off for Rockness and I don't want to take more just a week or two after!

Plan is to go back to work on Monday! And work a few extra hours the week before the GM and just use the time to finish early ish on the Friday!

I want to say a huge thankyou to everyone involved in the organisation of GMIV.... I don`t know the reasons for the petty squabbles and the sarcasm but please can you not save it for pm`s?

I have enjoyed each and everyone of the GM`s I`ve attended no matter who has oranised them and I`m really really looking forward to this one. I don`t care about the route as I now it`ll be a good one, I don`t care about the accommodation as I know it wouldn`t have been booked if it weren`t capable of accommodating us all and meeting our needs.

It`s gonna be a weekend of riding lovely roads with stunning scenery that I don`t have the luxury of riding and seeing too often and it`s an opportunity to socialise with people who I really like but who I don`t get to see on a regular basis... End of!!!! and I`m sure I speak for the majority of people who are travelling up for this.

Please keep the negativity and sarcasm out of it... it`s not gonna achieve anything at all. Thanks again to everyone involved for your hard work and it`s gonna be a belter of a weekend
