I'm interested in this if it's free for all. I need to get a good few miles in before next month.

Is Shrewsbury services reasonably easy to find? I've not been that way before and I'd have to rely on my map to find it. Bit of a trek from my way but I reckon I could get to the start in about two and a half hours if I don't get too lost.

What time are you planning on finishing as I have something I need to back in Leeds for that evening?

Leave Rhug at 11am; its about 15 minutes to Bala.
That way we won't keep Ed waiting
See you for 10 at Rhug

It's really easy to find. Your best bet is M56 to J10, turn left onto the A49 headed south and stay on the A49 all the way to Shrewsbury - about an hour from J10. Two and a half hours in total should do it. The A49's a twisty road!!!! Approaching Shrewsbury from the north, you'll come to a big roundabout - stay on the A49 (Shrewsbury by pass) signed for Leominster, at the next roundabout you need the right hand lane to stay on the A49 - DO NOT TURN LEFT but bear right staying on the A5/A49 still headed for Leominster. Across the next roundabout, and at the next roundabout (that's 4 roundabouts in all) don't take the left filter, but follow the signs for the Services - you'll see what I mean. You'll have done about 6 - 7 miles round the bypass. In the Services, we meet on the far side of the Esso petrol station. It really is easy to find. It's the services on the south side of town - there is a mini services by the first roundabout, it's not there!!!!!

Any probs, call/text me - 07837 213984.

Will be great to see you!!

On the way back, you don't need to come back via Shrewsbury - after we leave Barmouth, we'll all be going through Dolgellau - suggest you take the road to Bala (A494) and then stay on it till you get to Deeside and then onto the M56 to the M6. Hoewwever - Luckypants can probably advise better than I can on this.....

Thanks Ed.

I've saved the directions and your number. If I do get lost (hopefully not) and realise I wont be able to make it to the start on time, I will call/text you to let you know.

Otherwise, I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

I'll be meeting wherever Luckypants decides to go. Probably Shrewsbury though.
