There is a novice group (which I'll be in) and I bet half will have never done a track day before it (I've not done a proper one) why not join in?
Cheers dave

I am temped too, just not sure. May wait for next yr. I will have a think about it, then see if there any places left.

Still i will prob turn up for a look as its 40ish miles away. Be rude not to lol

Track riding is percieved to be dangerous, but I felt a lot safer than I do on the roads. If I were you, I'd take the plunge and sign up!

The Novice group is usually full of near enough beginners so the pace won't be astronomical - well at least from me it wont.

There is a hilton and a travel lodge just off junction 21.

Alternatively the is an ETap hotel which is £26 a night for the room and can accomodate 3 people so uber cheap if you can find people to share with.

The ETap is at position A, roughly 15 minutes from Mallory

This one looks ideal too. Right next to the track! Bit more money that the eTap though.

How far in advance do you reckon we'll need to book the accomo? I reckon I'll be booking whereever works out best, be price or convenience (price considered though!)

I'll probably book it about the start of Nov. I Doubt they will get that booked up, but I'd rather have something sorted early on rather than not be able to find anywhere convenient.

That Oaks Lodge is looking ideal for me. The eTap is £34 on those dates.

Booked onto Anglesey Circuit for the 15th...can't wait, just hope that a) it's not raining and b) Nobby's hairpin doesn't strike again!

the etap is 2 mins from me so if anyone does stop there i could meet up en route to mallory.. the etap is brand new( built about 6 months ago) so should have decent facilities, although it is on the new service station

Sounds good actually the thing holding me back from staying at the etap would be finding my way to mallory! Do you happen to know if there's anywhere safe to chain bikes to overnight there?

Since it's pi$$ing down outside, have booked Cadwell Novice day on 19th November.
Was this a silly thing to do?
Is anyone else joining in the fun?
