Can't argue with that........

the Superduke has it's limitation, but wow what a ride, as focused as any supermoto, but imagine it with a massive turbo fitted, excitment all the way.

Although I've done some serious mileage on it; it's by no means a distance machine, well not without making you far more tired than most bikes would, much better on 100-200 mile play days.....

and of course an excuse to post a pic.

As Chris says the older 955i speed triple is a great bike, as I know the engine very well it's easy to get the most out of it, I've ridden the 1050 (05 model) a half dozen times and they have softened it a bit to make it more "user friendly", which I'm not keen on, it could probably be sorted out with a few changes and tuneboy, haven't tired the new one so that could be better I don't know.

Fortunately I've had experience of many bikes, but if I didn't have the knee problem and could have but two; I'd probably have the superduke and a 99-02 speed triple as my perfect pair of bikes.

Cheers Mark.

They've softened the looks too, looks like they've drafted in some eyetie poofter to make it look pretty.

yeah I looked at one in the local dealers recently when I was down there with Matt, I could live with the body changes (just about), but the twin chrome headlight bowls are a speed triple thing, not really that into the black plastic shaped things they have now, Oh and those rad covers would have to go to.

Nope, not growing on me at all.

955i one has lovely sweeping lines. New one they've obviously just ripped off a ducati seat unit, and they were a wheezing ugly bag of sh*t.

Same with the exhausts, for the old 'un you could get gorgeous underseat system which looked and sounded awesome without getting in the way of your kit.

Frame still looks nice, tank's alright, front's alright. Nice forks and stuff but I hear they're not much crack. I'd really rather have working right way ups than more form than function shiny ones.

Yurgh. Way to ruin one of the two bikes I'd actually buy new! (if I had any money...)

Looking forward to hearing what you think of the Tuono!

p.s. am I the only one who likes the head lights on the new speed triples? I thought the old round lights just stuck out too far and looked like an after thought...probably just me
