If there is anyone out there who has managed to maintain pace with the topic of this thread I've now completed my electrical adventure and this was the final method I used:
Turns out that once its all connected together up and running I realised that I've used far more connectors than necessary and also that my wiring was a little over kill. Mulitcore cable would have been a far better solution, as would have been sourcing some much better connectors than the ones I used. BUT we live and learn, it does at least all function as it should and I can leave skimming the fat from it until I can afford for the bike to be off the road for a while. That was easy enough...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-Pins-Wat...item2a1200a98a I've now got this set in my watched items, if I do do the whole thing again I'll be doing it with these instead. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT |

ooooh they're good quality ones. I've got them on my HID's. Bit overkill for most things though
![]() Have a look at this site. I got the mini-connectors 2.8mm. They have a kit of them for £46.50 http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.e...connectors.php |

other than a terminal block what methods or connectors are there available for splitting a cable 4 ways?
Each of my splitters is a blatent cop out method, the pos wire comes into a terminal block with hoops into each adjacent fixing screw then simply 4 wires out the other ends. oh and then blathered in insulation tape. EDIT: Never mind just saw this on the other page... http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.e...connectors.php Last edited by Owenski; 26-07-11 at 11:40 AM. |
