Thank you all. These things are only what you lot make it.

We where again blessed with sunshine. Chips, on brighton seafront wearing t-shirts at the end of October...Hmmm, Global warming perhaps?? Who cares, bring it on (Waits flaming by the greenies)

Anyhoo, other than the few stops along the way to re-group...fix bikes, look for lost keyfobs etc, a marvelous day all round. i hope that you all made it home safe.

Myself, verna and Dan wandered back up the 275 from Lewes and was a very pleasent day if a little chilly near the end when that sun went in.

We only lost 2, and the marker system worked well, thanks to those involved in that.

And i hope the newbies liked it and we didnt scare you too much.

So next year...someone else going to organise it??

I'll do the in February...you know, rain, sleet, snow, hail, thunder lightening....the average SELKent rideout.

Thanks again

Top day out Viney - thanks for organising! Some great roads on the way down there...

Now we know what the birds really think of Treacle. (Or were only some of us witness to this marvellous event?)

Thanks everyone for making it a tippety top day.

Gary, does the nice young lady - who was riding behind you and madly beeping her horn and flapping her arms around to tell you that there was something dangling from your bike that shouldn't have been - not get a mention?

A really good day, a few hiccups along the way but all were dealt with without much fuss. The weather couldn't have been nicer and thankfully our worries that the SELKENT curse would mean a blizzard at Brighton were unfounded! The seagulls at Brighton were braver than I remembered but after attacking Raf, and taking a donut out of my hand we decided that discretion was the better part of valour and the food was best consumed away from the pier.

A big thank you to Viney for organising the day and picking a really nice route, as well as Sid Squid for being a very committed marker, and for entertaining us by doing u-turns and slow manoeuvres at the sea front with the lovely bbc whooping on the back

Sorry, how could I forget you? Thank you for warning me.

TBH My slow brain was thinking "What's that noise?......Someone's beeping me, did I do something wrong/dangerous or she's annoyed with me being slow and she wants to overtake? Time to change gear............Oh right!!! "
