Mountain bikers I'm not sure of, Swinley Forest is the closest trail area I can think of near the area... There's load of local org'ers tho, say hi in the Soho or Guildford Massive sections |

Re: The MTB thread
This month's MBUK just came through the post. On the cover of the 2011's Sexiest Bikes & Kit booklet...
Intense M9 FRO Looks amazing in Lotus F1 colours. Shame the colour scheme won't be on sale. |

Re: The MTB thread
Woo! Chainreaction delivery just arrived. New tyres, some spares and new pedals for the hardtail. Was a disappointingly small box for 150 odd quids.
Tonight I will be mainly changing tyres. |

Re: The MTB thread
Maxxis Minnion 2.35 front (super tacky) to cling to wet rock/roots on the advice of my daughter's b/f and another cyclist whose opinion I respect.Maxxis Advantage 2.1 rear (standard) as it has great traction I'm told by several folks. Will see how they perform ASAP.
Mmmmm I wish! The SLX on my new bike seems to work very well though. |

Re: The MTB thread
To be honest, with gear shifter sets I've never really understood spending a excessive amount. The only real advantage seems to be weight, and its a lot of money to lose a few grams. I see it as "if it works who cares"?
Man, im not liking these dark nights... makes actually getting out to use my bike a bitch! |
