Putting the final touches to my '78 T140E before I sell her. Museum grade rebuild. *sigh*

Spent most of a day trying to import a windows XP VDI file to Vitualbox. Gave up and created from scratch, a walk down memory lane looking at XP installation dialogue.

Done a couple of jobs on the SV at the weekend, one was replacing the rear pads. All done, nice and easy job jobbed.
Got in from a ride and noticed something splashed over the rear offside, on closer inspection it appears moving the res or possibly having a little too much fluid in there has caused the seal between the res and MC hose to spring a bit of a leak so I need to drain that and get a couple of winds of PTFE tape around it until I can get some new hose and do it properly. I knew it had gone far too easily. |

Managed to lock up the starter motor this morning. Just pulled it out, checked it over and put it back and we're away again.

Started it and accidentally hit the kill switch. It must have managed to lock the starter gear against the ring and locked itself. Never happened before, and working perfectly now.

Not on the bike but I did dress the curb marks and strip the paint off my lads 17" Clio alloy wheels and threw some paint on them. They look ok for £50 inc tyres.

The gear change on my VFR. I run an upside down race pattern shift which is normally just a case of turning the crank on the gear shaft over, however the VFR doesn't have any linkage as the shift lever comes straight off the shaft as on a dirt bike. It's been bugging me for ages so today I finally got round to making a backing plate to sit behind the foot peg onto which I mounted a lever and then made up all the associated linkage. A proper raid of my parts bin using pieces from Suzuki, Yamaha and Honda! A proper result though so no more pulling up to the lights in 6th.......

Red, photo please. I'd love to see it. Are you on the VFR Facebook group?
