As I was taking my boots off after a ride this morning I noticed a bright, shiny e-clip on the floor. It wasn't there when I went out so I must have brought it in (stuck to my boot?). It looks too shiny to have come from the SV or exposed to the elements, my boots don't have e-clips. My mind keeps wandering back to it and where it came from - it's an annoying niggle.
(it's 11mm across and looks like it should fit an 8mm shaft approx)

I found one of those on the living room carpet the other day. Very small and painted black. No idea where it came from but I suspect my wife's mobility scooter. Nothing has fallen off yet.

Went into local Timpsons today for price to replace one 175mm zip on side of my favourite Gaerne leather boots.
They quoted £57 for a heavy duty zip - that's for fitting one zip on one boot ! How can it be that much ?
I am looking elsewhere .

I've got a cheap Powerline Gel battery in my 99 and it works fine,

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_f...rline&_sacat=0

They do a more powerful 12amp version as well,

I got quoted £75 for them to re-sole my boots... that originally cost me £60.

A E time to DIY! Loads of soles to suit on ebay or amazon. Remove old soles with the aid of a heat gun - should not cost more than £20
