decided to go OUT 5 mins in i had a heavy shower for 1 min, then about a min of hailstones.

first 2½ miles seemed fairly quick, although as i was heading for a 2½ mile checkpoint then turning around and doing the same route backwards, i did feel like turning back before the marker, but i continued to get to it. as it was all down hill.

the 2nd half seemed a fair bit slower, as it was uphill and into the wind, and TBH i think i was thinking it was harder than it was.

5 miles in 47 mins (9min 40secs per mile) which is 10 seconds slower than saturday, but that was only 3 miles, and less hills

so im still faster on the road with a mixture of hills, than i am on the treadmill on the flat

the only problem, as it was wet, i stepped in a few puddles, so my feet got wet, and my toes are a bit sore

(sorry if im boring you)

I just did a cheeky 4.51 miles in 35:34, my legs felt good for the first mile and a half then got heavy.......really heavy, 4 inch puddles along the Thams Path didn't help........

HOVIS - top effort mate, once you have broken your bad weather duck you won't be able to stay in.

yeah, just doing 3 miles today, i normaly do the 1st half down hill the the 2nd half back the same route.

but today im doing the 1st 1½ miles uphill, then turn around and come back, im hoping to beat the 27mins

as my hilly twin socks came this morning, so that should add a few bhp
