Yes quite a bundle, but let's face it, 99% of ebay is a pig in a poke, so you could sell any of them on and honestly say you know nothing about them. What's that, a couple of hours from you?

There is an antique shop in Ipswich and they have a load of cameras in the window. Sure I saw a Nettar.

Maybe 3 hours or so that far up to Scotland. It's a day trip. Not something I could squeeze into an evening.

Nearly all of the Nettars had Novar lenses, though admittedly they were often F4.5 or slower. My Mess Ikonta has an f3.5 Novar and there's nothing wrong with the pictures, even wide open. The Tessar is better but most of the time you're splitting hairs really; this is fairly well-documented. Also the Nettars often had cheaper shutters so a more limited range of speeds and not such a high top speed. I had one and the struts etc. seemed less solid than the Ikonta but the back end is just to hold the film after all. You Certo is much the same i.e. scale focus folder, be interested to know what shutter and lens it has, they were all quite well-equipped I think, also its age. TBH I only bought the Nettar for its case, so sold it on a while ago for the space.

Wow, those Mess Ikontas aren't cheap. Can't stretch that far so it will have to be a normal one.
Anyone recognise the camera at the back? http://camerasinmovies.tumblr.com/image/36221904579 Its from the film Twister. I picked up an Argus 75 as it was in Back to the Future 3. Gremlins 2 had a Kodak Hawkeye Flash but they are hard to come by in the UK.
Seems my Hanimex 135mm has fungus. Was described as having no growths but is it wort chasing over a tenner?

Johnny, I'll keep an eye on those. Maybe next weekend If I'm feeling brave. I'm taking a week off work soon so there's a week's commuting money I can spend.
