Received quotations for gas and electricity contract renewal with eon comprising several options and tariffs which make it very confusing to choose the best deal for me. Some amount to more than £3000 a year which is staggering. I thought 1 year fixed deals were supposed to be the cheapest be they now seem the most expensive.

my fuel price rates have not gone up that much its the standing charge that has doubled. this means that if fuel prices come down they still get to rob me.

speaking of fuel.. £1.98.9 here at one of the petrol stations for diesel

Ordered some stuff from the Denali UK shop nearly 2 weeks ago, and it still hasn't turned up.
Managed to get hold of them today and was told the goods haven't been sent yet . . .
The response was 'it's not in stock'. (me) But your website even today shows they are! (them) oh, but that's wrong. (me) So you've not bothered to update it, or notify customers? (them) no. they're due in stock next week . . . . (me) fine, i'll wait.

PITA as no where else has these bits in stock, as this is the main source for all goods.

Just been notified that the company I build wheels for has gone under. Over half my income gone just like that. So sad as it's a small business with all the right ideas and motivations building great sensible bicycles. Also gutting as rising costs and financial hardship has just been more than doubled in our household due to the loss of work. It's the self employed flexible part of what I do that's gone too.

Nothing else as I hadn't seen it coming and only found out this evening. They only decided to let the company go this morning.


Apart from selling my bike(s) I haven't many other options immediately. Still doing three days a week at the shop but was hoping to be less reliant on that as it's very stressfull and demanding on my life for a shop wage. It won't keep us afloat.
