I've noticed it on a few forums I wander around. Very annoying.

It sh*ts the bed randomly and the whole thing crashes and has to restart. They're usually fine for a few months then it starts happening. |

Re: The All new Reeder Megathread
It's sitting on top of my desk so heat shouldn't be a problem.

New hub has needed re-booting about 6 times since we have had it, and it smells 'hotter' than the old one - hope its not made by Beko and liable to set the house on fire. I was expecting wi-fi range (only used on Kindles) to be better than old hub, but just the same. I use homeplugs to distribute broadband around the 240 volt mains outlets in the house and they have been absolutely faultless, and very fast.

Re: The All new Reeder Megathread
Yeah mine throws out quite a bit of heat. Homeplugs are brilliant! I got my parents some and they are so good.
My PC uses ethernet, which makes it more annoying when I tell them the hub keeps crashing and they suggest changing the wifi frequency. |

Re: The All new Reeder Megathread
Line tested fine. He said he doesn't think it's the router. He changed all the "old" connectors on the line and said there was a splitter under the floor feeding an unused line which could cause intermittent noise. He also said the routers sometimes crash when there is a lot of traffic on a wifi frequency and the hub tries to change to a new frequency, so it might be worth putting it on a set frequency.
It all sounds like guess work to me |
