That's a shame, Gary: however the weather at closer to sea level looks decent for biking ...

Sort of walking I used to love - the ole back is not up to carrying a largish rucksack nowadays. Next time!

Sorry to hear that Mike, such a shock.

I've done this hike a few times, but the last time we ended up doing the whole 26 - 28 miles of the route in one go as the weather on the Crib y Rhiw was so bad we weren't able to camp overnight. We decided that we didn't want to repeat that so the walk is postponed sadly.
I was over Aberystwyth yesterday with friends. I can confirm it was very windy.

Magpies!
If their infernal screeching wasn't bad enough they have now started pecking at the windows. My dormer rooms have a heat reducing film fitted which, under certain light conditions, makes them mirrored - the magpies now see their reflection and are bashing away.

They seem to be everywhere, maybe we need a magpie cull.

One for sorrow, two for joy (oh, really?), they can take their joy and get lost.

We have jackdaws which are just as bad. Time to buy an air rifle

We have both but they are trouble free. Its the pigeons that leave a mess thats our bug bear, plus the two Red Leg partridges that have taken to started tapping on the kitchen patio door at 6.30 in the morning.

The issue with magpies is that they will eat songbird's eggs and, on occasion, their chicks
