Thanks very much for the info. Saltire wanted £443 for a new one (including bearings, etc). Ouch! Last week-end, I was coming up over the hill from Gleneagles towards Glendevon and a horse box in front of me (I was sitting behind it, waiting to over-take) skelped the wall at the side of the road and knocked some rocks on to the road. I ended up hitting one and now I need a new front wheel (and tyre)! Managed to stay shiny side up luckily.
Thanks again for the help!
Kate

Wow, thanks! I'm down in Dumfries, which might make it a bit tricky to get it there, but thanks for the offer anyway - much appreciated!

The local garage is seeing how quick he can get hold of a tyre for me this week, but if the offer of the old 020's still there I might pop up for it in the car, it'd at least mean I could afford the run, then replace it properly come PayDay...?

Yeah, no probs. I think I'll be out on thursday night mind, that might make things awkward. I can stick it on teh wheel as well for you if you need, no great hardship...

That was good last year. I spent all weekend eating burgers the size of my head... I'm as definate for the weekend as I ever get for the weekend, I might still duck out if the weather's truly terrible for the usual reasons but I'm looking forward to it, last year was awesome...

Bring your waterproofs....

And I've watched sunshine and dry roads from the office window all day today and yesterday, then its p1ssed it down as soon as I swung a leg over the bike. So I haven't really had an opportunity to scrub in the new front tyre. It still has 1 inch of completely unused shiny chicken strip on each edge... No fun corners for me this weekend

Do what? None? Not in 250 odd miles? They'll be scrubbed in long before then surely?

Go on you little tease, you know you want to...
